Guru Poornima

23.07.2023 (MONDAY):  Guru Purnima  was celebrated in our vidyalaya on 13 July 2022. The guest of the day Smt. Geetha Santhanam, Smt. Vaidheki and Sri. N.Suresh  and Smt.N.Sharmila-Principal adorned the dias. Sri. K.E.Srinivasan Honorary Correspondent welcomed the gathering and introduced the chief guest. He stressed that Guru should be committed to teaching, instructing and guiding the disciples.Bhajan was rendered by the teachers and students. S.Harshitha- IX A delivered the significance of the day.G.Nethra- IX A performed the classical dance The students enacted the skit “Guruvin Charanam.Smt. R.Kavitha rendered a poem “Guruvin Magimai”. The teachers enacted on the topic Guru and disciples.Smt. S.Usha rani - Yoga teacher performed yoga and highlighted the benefits of yoga. Smt.S.Kamalambal performed classical dance . An interview - “Nerrukku Ner'' was conducted by the teachers and played the role of Dr.K.Radha Krishnan and Dr.A.P.J.Abdul Kalam. X and XII std students performed patha pooja as a reverence to the Gurus. Memento was given to the chief guest as a token of good will.Smt.Prema Mahadevan briefed about the incidents from historical stories to inculcate the values of gurus and the disciples. She thanked her gurus who nurtured her endeavours.Mementoes were given to the dignitaries,Incharges,Teaching and Non teaching staff. Smt.P.Shanthi Middle school Incharge was honoured with an award “ Certificate of Recognition”. Maya Madhu Iyer- XII A proposed vote of thanks.
